Hyenas

Pour out your wrath on them;
let your fierce anger overtake them.
May their place be deserted;
let there be no one to dwell in their tents.
For they persecute those you wound
and talk about the pain of those you hurt.
Psalms 69:24-26

There are some evil people whose modus operandi is to find the weak and the fallen to utterly destroy them. They act much the same way as hyenas do. Although some species of hyenas are capable of capturing their own prey, most of them scavenge the remains that other carnivores leave behind and hunt for any carrion they can find out there. These evil people are the first to scoff at the child of God that is up to go through a test. They do not really care to know the reasons why the believer has had to face trials. The only thing they care is to do the most damage to someone who is temporarily in distress. As hyenas, they enjoy watching somebody else’s miseries and to take advantage of their misfortune to have a laugh. Like hyenas, they usually roam around in packs looking for someone to destroy.

For these imitators of the hyenas God has prepared a swift retribution. They have earned the wrath of God and their end will be destruction and annihilation. If you are facing trials and tribulations and the evil people around you are harassing you as hyenas do, do not divert your attention from the test that you’re facing. The most important thing right now is to focus on the trial that you face. The attacks of the wicked only have the purpose of diverting your attention from the trial you are under so that you may fail. Raise your voice and cry unto the heavenly Father. He will take care of removing the hyenas that surround you may remain focused on the issue at hand and armed with faith in our Savior you can stand firm until you have passed the test.To God alone be the glory!
