Inexhaustible source

For this God is our God for ever and ever;
he will be our guide even to the end.
Psalms 48:14

God is inscrutable. No matter how hard we try we will never be able to completely understand his mind. But this should not be an obstacle for us to try to learn every day more and more about his personality and attributes. For this we have the rational mind that God has given to every man so they can analyze the information they receive to achieve their own logical conclusions. Moreover, God has revealed himself through his creation, “so that people are without excuse.” We also have the revelation of himself through his written word, “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways.” To complete the picture, God has revealed himself to mankind through his Son Jesus Christ, “He who has seen me has seen the Father.” Additionally, for those who have made the best decision that anyone can make in this life, which is to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, God has given us his Spirit, “these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”

To know better each day our God and heavenly Father must be the source of joy to our lives, the fountain from which we can drink as many times as we wish. This inexhaustible source of wisdom and knowledge is available to us 24/7. “Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.” Pay close attention to the words of the melancholic prophet Jeremiah: “‘but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,’ declares the LORD.” The decision is yours to get to know God better or miss the rich blessings that can only be received by those who have wholeheartedly determined to really know the Almighty . May we say with the apostle Paul: “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” To God alone be the glory!
