[Wisdom will save you from men]…
who delight in doing wrong
and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,
whose paths are crooked
and who are devious in their ways.
The way of the wicked is laid out very near the path of the righteous but leads to a very different destination. Its proximity to the path of truth makes it easy sometimes for those who walk the path of the righteous to get confused, forget about their goal and stray into the path of wickedness. Fortunately for the children of God the path of evil shows situations that when analyzed with the wisdom that God has granted to their children allow the wanderer to realize his error and return promptly to his rightful path as a child of God. The wisdom that God gives us through reading his reliable word serves, therefore, as a guide and guardian to helps us stay the course without turning. It also frees us from falling into the traps and pits that can be found in excess on the road to perdition.
Let us therefore continually check the health of our relationship with God and ask ourselves what we need to do to grow closer to our heavenly Father. A strong relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ will keep us firmly attached to him and focused on the path that God has prepared for us from before the creation of the universe. Search for wisdom as he who seeks for a hidden treasure, this will help you to understand what the fear the Lord means and deepen your knowledge of God. Possessing it, we will be protected at all times of the temptations and confusion that might divert us to the path of the shadows. Read the word of God every day. Only to God be the glory!

My son, give me your heart
and let your eyes delight in my ways,
for an adulterous woman is a deep pit,
and a wayward wife is a narrow well.
Like a bandit she lies in wait
and multiplies the unfaithful among men.
One of the most destructive messages that the world sends daily to humanity is that sexual licentiousness is acceptable and normal. If by normal they mean widespread and prevalent they are right but fornication and adultery are abominable in the eyes of God and directly undermine the stability of the family and thus of society. With the excuse that they are simply carried away by the love they feel, they give vent to their sexual desires and both women and men fall into a trap from which escape is extremely difficult. Freud and his followers wanted to make the world believe that the vast majority of mental and behavioral disorders have their origin in the repression of sexual instincts. The solution, according to the famous Austrian psychologist is to unleash those instincts to release the tension caused by the opposing forces of the Id and the Superego. This liberation of the instincts resulted in a society dominated by the Playboy philosophy, free love, open marriage, free unions, feminism and homosexuality activism, among others.
The word of God teaches that sexuality is a good thing if it is practiced within the sanctity of marriage. Any other expression of sexuality outside the marriage becomes debauchery and sin and as such can only lead to destruction and death. Anyone who possesses wisdom knows the signs identifying the traps that have been lying on his way to catch and destroy him and so he can avoid them. He who is well grounded in the Word of God will be protected and will not be deceived by the false promises of freedom and well-being offered by the world and the adversary to those who want to live by their animal instincts. Find guidance on the word of God and you will get wisdom and joy to boot. To God alone be the glory!
I know, LORD, that your laws are righteous,
and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
May your unfailing love be my comfort,
according to your promise to your servant.
Let your compassion come to me that I may live,
for your law is my delight.
Justice, discipline, mercy, faithfulness, compassion and joy. All these things mentioned in just three sentences showing the interrelationships that these concepts have among them and their link with the life of the son of God and the importance of adhering to the divine precepts. Many believe that the believer’s life is a life of boredom and difficulties, that there is nothing interesting to do but tedious and monotonous spiritual exercises. Of course, those who think this way are people who have a worldview based on prescriptive elements, ie, people who put the emphasis on “what to do” rather than “what to be.” Until we understand that is more important “to be” than “to do” and that life does not consist only of those things that we accumulate, be it titles, honors or possessions, we will not understand the meaning of the great victory that our Lord Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross of Calvary and the importance this has for each one of us.
Many want to hear the voice of God but are reluctant to seek what he says by his word. Others simply want to hear something “new” from God as if God is someone who changes his mind or lifestyle at every turn. What man needs to know God has already have revealed through His Word and through His creation. Seeking God for fun and entertainment will never achieve its goal for it is necessary that one seeks God with a sincere heart that he may be found. The answer to all concerns and enigmas of humanity can be found in the word of God. Let’s dive, then, in it so we can find the treasures all seek but few find. To God alone be the glory!
The LORD detests lying lips,
but he delights in people who are trustworthy.
If we could understand how abominable lying is to God we would make sure that we always walk through the paths of honesty. No one can refute that lying is something that is much displeasing to God . Especially when our Lord Jesus Christ is the truth and not acting honestly becomes a direct affront against him. But our adversary has done a good job convincing us that lying can easily bail us out and that it brings no serious consequences. Our carnal nature loves anything that does not require some kind of effort. We willingly accept everything that is easy to do, light, not compromising, not a cause for responsibilities or anything that will not complicate our lives . We avoid anything that requires effort, commitment or sacrifice thinking that acting this way will keep us away from anyone who would demand our accountability. Honesty requires commitment, effort and sacrifice, which is why it’s so difficult for our sinful nature to remain in it.
A simple way to avoid falling into the snares of falsehood is to always act with integrity. Do nothing that you can not justify. Let us always act according to the precepts and instructions of God and we will see no need to lie about what we have done because everything will be justified by the word of God. To do otherwise means that we will be exposed to shame when the truth is revealed ─for nothing will remain hidden─ and also that our relationship with God will be affected by the presence of what is abhorrent to him in our lives. Let’s keep ourselves as far away as possible from deceit and hypocrisy and our life will be blessed. Remember that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. Let us be God’s delight. To God alone be the glory!
Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies,
I keep your precepts with all my heart.
Their hearts are callous and unfeeling,
but I delight in your law.
Any type of encounter we have with someone who is not a child of God will ultimately end up becoming a battle of hearts and minds. This struggle is a natural outcome of the encounter of two forces that have opposite directions. The heart of him who has not devoted his life to serving God will be driven by the desires of the flesh, the pride of the world and the lies of Satan. It is very possible that this heart has not have realized the dangerous path his life has taken, because among the deceptions of the enemy and his own faulty reasoning he has developed a world view diametrically opposed to God’s plans. These hearts make many mistakes, but generally they are desensitized to failure and have difficulty realizing their sins.
By contrast, the just and merciful heart of God’s children wants to do things right all the time, that is, to act according to the instructions and precepts given by God in his word. This heart knows how sad it is to live separated from God and therefore has repented of his previous conduct. This heart is not interested in seeking his own benefit and for this reason he receives many blessings from God. This heart always puts integrity above any whim or deviant behavior that his sinful nature is telling him to follow. This heart is full of commitment and love and thus he has a special joy that many people do not even imagine may exist. Which of these two types of hearts you want to be yours? Look for Jesus Christ with all your heart and you will find true happiness. Align yourself with the plans of the Master of the Universe. Only to God be the glory!
